Saving the Best for last…

So have you ever heard of lentipes armatus ? A brand new Goby…
The Japanese Rainbow Goby – A really awesome looking small goby that was discovered in 1979 in the Japanese Ryukyu Islands and also found in the Philippines.  These gobies seem to Inhabit fast-flowing streams that are highly oxygenated, and live at temperatures around 75- 78f. This can be accomplished in the aquarium by using a hang on the back or power head at one end of the aquarium and allowing the current to flow across the tank. There is not a lot of Aquarium based information available yet online for them, but, here is what we can assume about them; they are small reaching about 3”. Males are very brightly colored and possibly territorial with other males. Commonly small gobies allow several females in their territories but will generally not tolerate other males. Feeding would be similar to the Stipodon (Elegant Goby) we have in the shop, which eat Brine Shrimp, Blood Worms and relish live black worms. Keep in mind that this information is conjecture based on my readings about them from various online suppliers and collection information from the wild.
They will be available in the shop for sale on Friday. Take a look!
