WTF = What the Fork!

A lot of people come into Finatics and when they are in the shop many comment on the fact that sometimes there is a fork in a fish tank!

I have had funny questions and have overheard funny reasons why the forks are in the tanks.
 I have heard everything from a guy telling his wife the forks add minerals to the water to someone wondering out loud if we like to eat over the tanks…LOL!! 

 The "REAL"  reason that we have forks in the tanks is - every other evening, we give our Pleco’s and algae grazing fish Zucchini, We have played with different methods to keep the Zucchini from floating and we have found that the Almighty “Fork” does the trick by holding the zucchini on the bottom, slightly angled so that it is perfect for our fish to be able to eat this algae replacement. We do offer and feed algae wafers, but find that because many algae eaters eat considerable amounts of algae and we don’t grow enough natural food for them in our shop tanks, that the zucchini makes a nice substitute.

 So the next time you see a “fork” in our shop and think "WTF", Don't worry-we know your thinking “What the Fork”!! and the next time you think about feeding your bottom algae eaters your first thought should be  aw- just- Fork it! 

(Ok, enough of the stupid fork jokes)
