Microsorum pteropus, commonly known as the Java fern, is an aquatic fern
from southeast Asia, is highly variable with several different
geographic varieties that vary in leaf size and shape. It is found
attached to roots and rocks in nature and is a great plant for aquascaping in the aquarium. I like to attach them to Jeti or Mopani wood with a bit of thread, hot glue or gel type crazy glue. They are very tolerant and do well in higher pH and hard water. However, they do equally well in tanks with soft acidic water with peat. If you would like to try "live" plants in your aquarium and not sure what to start with, I can fully
recommend the Java Fern! These "jumbo" Java Fern plants are only $11.99 each -while they last!

The Java Fern we currently have in stock each have 6-8 large leaves on them~! |

They are anchored into the sand here in our tanks, however that is just temporary so that you can attach them to whatever you wish.
